Capcom has added an update to the "Beginning Hour" demo for its upcoming "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," ("RE7") the 11th installment in the massively popular "Resident Evil" video game series.

The update, dubbed the "Twilight" version, adds more content that players can expect from the survival horror video game when it drops in January 2017. This includes access to new rooms and new items to find.

"Now is your chance to investigate on your own if you haven't had the chance to before, as both newcomers and veterans of 'Beginning Hour' will be able to see what's changed in the run-down rooms and decrepit corridors," "Resident Evil" community manager Morgane Toulemondea said in a statement on the PlayStation blog.

Along with the Twilight version of the demo, Capcom released a terrifying new trailer for the full game.

Meanwhile, in another press release, Capcom confirmed that "Resident Evil 7" will be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro.

"The full game will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro, allowing the immersive gameplay to be experienced in high-resolution, luxuriant 4K with rich visuals only HDR can deliver," the developer's statement read. Capcom also noted that the highly anticipated video game will be playable on the Xbox One S.

According to Capcom, the deluxe version of "RE7" will cost $89.99, $10 more than the previously announced $79.99 price. The increase is due to the fact that apart from the previously advertised game and season pass (including access to two expansions), the pass will now include access to three story expansions.

GameSpot reported that the first "Resident Evil 7" downloadable content (DLC)  will include four short side stories. The second will reportedly add another episode to the game. The contents of the third DLC pack are still unknown.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be made available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Jan. 24, 2017 in North America and Europe. It will drop on Jan. 26, 2017 in Japan.
