'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date: creator warns fans not to trust 'unfounded' internet rumors
With no release date for "Rick and Morty" season 3, fans rely on the rumor mill for answers. However, this is exactly what co-creator Justin Roiland would advise viewers not to do.
A fan recently tweeted out to Roiland about how there are no final details for the return of Rick and Morty to the big screen. He called him out about how the release date has changed several times now.
"It's the internet rumor mill. Yet another example of total unfounded bulls—t being gobbled up as fact. This world is f—d," he tweeted out.
"Rick and Morty" season 3 has no official release date yet. Even Roiland likes to mess with fans sometimes about the fact that this bit of information is still kept under wraps.
Roiland and co-creator Dan Harmon hoped to premiere the new season by December last year, which obviously did not happen. With no new details to chew on, fans asked for answers. Rumors then started popping up that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will premiere this March. In truth, neither Adult Swim nor the creative duo has yet to provide details on that. From the looks of it, there is still work being done on the new season. This is not a surprise since there will be four extra episodes this year. Instead of 10, there will be 14 episodes.
Even the first preview for the "Rick and Morty" season 3 hinted that there are still a lot to do. The clip was not fully animated yet. Instead, they were just sketches.
It did reveal a bit about the new season. The video showed Rick back to his old ways and out of the galactic prison. How he escapes remains to be seen.
The mad scientist was seen fetching his grandson from school just as he was about to ask a newly single Jessica.
