Paramount Pictures has recently released a teaser clip featuring the first three minutes of the upcoming horror movie "Rings."

The clip features that airplane sequence that has already been previously teased in the upcoming movie's trailers. The starting scene of the movie shows Samara demonstrating her horrific powers by putting an airplane filled with passengers in danger and forcing them to meet their inevitable doom.

For those who are fans of the horror genre, it would not be difficult to notice that the clip bears similarity to the premise of the first "Final Destination" movie, given the setting takes place on a passenger jet.

According to its synopsis, "Rings" is a new chapter in the beloved "Ring" horror film franchise. In this upcoming movie, a young woman begins to worry about her boyfriend when he delves into a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape rumored to kill the watcher seven days after viewing it.

To save her boyfriend from the curse, she sacrifices herself in the process, only to discover that there is a movie within a movie that no one has ever seen before.

Directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, "Rings" serves as a sequel to the 2002 horror movie "The Ring." The acclaimed 2002 horror movie, on the other hand, is inspired by the iconic and original Japanese horror movie franchise, "Ring."

"The Ring" remake, starring Naomi Watts, was both a critical and commercial success, earning $249 million at the box office. It became the most successful horror remake to ever have been made. Its sequel, "Ring Two," however, was not as well-received and only earned $161 million at the box office.

The cast of "Rings" includes Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

After a series of release date delays, "Rings" is now set to hit theaters on Friday, Feb. 3.
