'Rise of the Tomb Raider' update: Game hits PS4; 'Blood Ties' expansion released
Exciting news for all "Rise of the Tomb Raider" fans. After the Xbox One and PC, the title is now heading over to the PlayStation 4 as a bundle. This means it's not just going to be any normal disc because it's going to be packed with a whole lot of fun.
According to IGN, the bundle is called the "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" and it's going to contain all of the existing DLC (downloadable content) and new content. It is even going to have a virtual reality add-on included in the package.
Developer Crystal Dynamics also released the launch trailer which featured a part of the story of the new version of the game, as well as a peek of its gameplay. It showed some of the DLCs that will be included, outfits, weapons and even the new "Extreme Survivor" difficulty level.
It also teased the defeat of "Baby Yaga" and gave a brief preview of some of the Lara Croft retro skins. By watching the trailer, fans can expect an excellent adventure.
Game Spot also noted that as soon as "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" is released, gamers can get 100,000 free in-game credits and use it on whichever platform they want.
All they have to do is play the game on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PC within Oct. 11 to Oct. 18. The credits would then be given to them and they can use it in the game's multiple mini-game modes.
The bundle is also going to come with a new expansion called "Blood Ties" wherein gamers are introduced to a whole new storyline involving the mystery of Lara's parents and her early childhood. The DLC is going to be set in their family manor which is already in ruins. There's also an action-packed element included called Lara's Nightmare which comes with zombies and floating skulls.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" is now available for the PS4.
