'Riverdale' news: Are Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart dating in real life?

Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart, who play Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper, respectively, and who recently became a couple in the show, "Riverdale," may be dating in real life.

The rumor started when Sprouse posted a photo of Reinhart in the middle of a field of flowers, wearing a flower crown, on his Instagram account. The photo made fans believe that the two are seeing each other in real life.

On the other hand, Sprouse, being a photographer, also regularly posts photographs he has taken on social media, and his subjects include (but are not limited to) his fellow "Riverdale" cast members. Reinhart has also posted photos of her and Sprouse on her Instagram account a few times. However, like Sprouse, she also has images of her other co-stars in "Riverdale."

The two have yet to confirm or deny the relationship. At the very least, the two are very close friends.

Betty and Jughead dating is a new storyline explored in the drama. This storyline was not explored in the comic book series which served as the source material, but nonetheless, the storyline was met positively by a lot of the show's viewers, with some of them dubbing the couple "Bughead."

"Riverdale" is currently on hiatus. The show comes back on March 30, Thursday, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW, with its eighth episode, titled "The Outsiders." The episode will feature Archie (K.J. Apa) and his friends trying to help Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) in his construction business after he loses his crew. Unfortunately, this will lead to a run-in between the teenagers and the Southside Serpents, of which, Jughead's father is the ringleader. Meanwhile, Betty and Veronica (Camila Mendes) will throw a baby shower for Polly (Tiera Skovbye), but the latter will express her concerns that not a lot of people in town welcome the news of her pregnancy.
