'Rizzoli & Isles' season 7 episode 11 spoilers: Jane spills the big news; duo tackles another odd crime
Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) will be facing the reactions of her friends and family after her big reveal in the last episode, as she and Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) take on another odd case.
Last Monday's episode, titled "For Richer or Poorer," saw Boston homicide detective Jane confessing to her best friend Maura that she received a new job offer. It appears that the FBI Academy at Quantico offered her a teaching position. She will be handling trainees desiring to become agents.
Maura was supportive, as always, telling Jane it will be a good idea, what with the regular hours that means she can still do something worth her time. The only catch is Jane wasn't sure how her family would react and if she's ready to leave her friends and family behind.
The episode also saw them taking on the case of a murdered young man, who was an accountant, and another shooting victim who carried with him a wedding picture of him and Maura. Jane was shocked to learn that Maura was married to Edward Dunn (Kristoffer Polaha). The marriage was short-lived as they both deemed it a mistake.
While investigating the crime, Jane and Vince Korsak (Bruce McGill) learned that Edward had taken over the family business. They pegged him as the prime suspect for the young man's murder, theorizing that Maura's ex-husband could be hiding something in the company's finances or is involved in something illegal. The catch is Edward didn't own a gun.
Later on, it was revealed that Edward suspected the company's accountant, prompting him to hire the young murdered victim. They were supposed to meet to find out what's going in with the company when the young accountant was found murdered. It turned out that the murderer was a friend of the Dunn family, Noah, who was involved in a Ponzi scheme.
On Monday's episode 11, titled "Stiffed," Jane and Maura will be taking on the case of a mortician whose dead body was found in one of the caskets in his own funeral home. As expected, the formidable duo will be embroiled in a world of embalming, interment, and serial murder. Check out the promo trailer below.
The same episode will see the return of Tommy Rizzoli (Colin Egglesfield), Jane's problematic younger brother, and his son TJ (Cooper Fontaine). It looks like Tommy is considering returning to Boston for good and staying with his mom Angela Rizzoli (Lorraine Bracco).
In addition, as seen in the promo video, Jane will finally learn how her loved ones react to her news about the Quantico job.
"Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 episode 11 will air on Monday, Aug. 22, at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
