A new update for Psyonic's popular game "Rocket League" recently came out. Along with this update came a new free arena, Steam Workshop support, and additional new features.

The new arena in the game is called the Starbase ARC, an arena set in outer space. As reported by Games Radar, the new Starbase ARC patch is based on Psyonix's own mobile title, "ARC Squadron." The mode is designed with an octagonal map which will showcase various elements such as starship battles, floating planetoids, and interstellar laser shows, making the new ARC the most epic "Rocket League" arena yet.

With the new galactic arena comes a new space-themed premium DLC car called the "Vulcan," which is reportedly priced at $1.99. The "Vulcan" is designed with a unique look compared to the other vehicles in the "Rocket League" lineup. The wings fold out when the car hits supersonic speed.

Part of the update is the Custom Training mode, wherein players will be able to create exercises on certain maps and share them with other players. Elite gamers will be able to share their tricks and even their secret techniques to other gamers who may need help in improving their skills.

According to Game Spot, the new update also adds other features such as the Steam Workshop Support, which will allow Unreal Engine 3 UDK users to create custom levels in the game via a Steam Workshop Uploader Tool. Players are now also able to "like" or "dislike" arenas through the Arena Preference Selector.

There are other updates such as the redesigned SARPBC vehicles and the two variant arenas in the Exhibition and Private matches. The "Champion Series IV" crate, on the other hand, comes with all-new exclusive garage items to help support Psyonix eSports initiatives. Gamers can potentially unlock a new Import Battle-Car, Exotic Wheels, animated Decals, and more.

The update also includes a new Colorblind mode, which will be available in the "Options" menu. This update can make high-contrast orange and blue shades as well as high-contrast nameplates possible.

The free Starbase ARC patch for the "Rocket League" video game has been made available for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, and Xbox One on Dec. 7.
