With the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" fast approaching, fans were able to get a teaser featuring one of the film's characters.

A featurette of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" was recently released, which showed some characters and commentary about the new installment of the legendary saga. Fans learned a lot of about Admiral Raddus, who is said to be a Mon Calamari officer in the new film.

It was stated that the character was inspired by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Though details about what he will do in the upcoming film have yet to be revealed, franchise creature effects supervisor Neal Scanlan was able to share some details about the making of the character.

He stated that they based the character off of Churchill because they wanted to bring Admiral Raddus as a strong figure. With that, they used Churchill as a visual as well as performance reference.

Scanlan explained, "You try to look at a famous actor, or a statesperson or something like that. Someone you could use. It helps to have someone to reference in the real world. It grounds our creatures and ideas. We use these references to pull these creatures back and make them feel like they belong here in our world."

Though there is still a lot of mystery about the character, fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming film. It was reported that the story will focus on a new environment, which is a planet called Jedha. The planet is said to be influential to The Force followers, which will give fans more insight on the importance and spirituality of The Force. This is expected to bring an interesting dynamic to the world of "Star Wars."
