Ryan Knight Cause of Death Mysterious Pills? Reality TV Star Dead After Stomach Pains?
Ryan Knight, former star of the MTV show "Real World: New Orleans," was found dead earlier this week. He was staying at his friends' house and was 29 at the time of his death.
Knight's death is the second tied to the "Real World" series which airs on MTV. A few weeks earlier Diem Brown, another former star of the show, also died after a long battle with cancer.
Knight's death took place in the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, where Knight's father once served on the police force. It was the same police force that announced his death in a statement after they were called to the house. Once they arrived, they tried to revive Knight but failed. At the time it was noted that there were no injuries on his body.
In a statement the police said they did not find any drugs in Knight's house. But Knight's friends confided that he had been partying the night before and could have taken a number of pills. However, it was not clear what the pills were for.
Following Knight's death, an autopsy was conducted but it failed to reveal any anatomical cause for his death. However, his friends reported that he had been suffering from stomach-related problems a few days before he died. A toxicology report has still not been completed.
Knight starred in the 2010 season of "Real World: New Orleans" and since then has appeared on several episodes of "The Challenge." Both these shows aired on MTV.
After news of Knight's death broke, MTV issued a statement in which the staff described their sadness at his passing , noting his "candor and a blunt sense of humor."
Many of his former cast mates also took to the micro blogging site Twitter to mourn his death.
Prior to this death, Knight was in a happy mood as he had just begun dating someone and the relationship was proceeding well.
