Despite DeMarcus Cousins currently out with Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics, he is still being talked about in the NBA circle, and rumor has it that a powerhouse team is looking to sign the center.

The defending NBA champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers, are reportedly looking to land Cousins as they attempt to maintain their dominance in the league.

The Cavaliers won their first NBA title behind Kyrie Irving and LeBron James as they bounced back from a 3 to 1 deficit to win the series in seven games.

Now, despite having the same line-up and still heavily considered as favorites in the Eastern Conference, rumor has it that they want Cousins in as well.

Sports Rageous believes that Cousins' time with Team USA and Irving could be the biggest chance for the Cavs to sign the center as Irving and Cousins have obviously bonded during their time in Brazil.

Given that the Cavaliers do not have a definite center that can do work on both ends of the floor, having Cousins in the squad will definitely help them become favorites to maintain their run as champions.

Cousins has spent six years in the league, and he is considered the best center in the game today.

Standing at 6'11, Cousins may not be as big as the other centers in the league, but he is able to use his size, strength, and natural ability to carry the franchise.

However, despite Cousins' undoubted effort, the Kings have failed to put a decent team around him, and they have failed to make it to the playoffs, resulting in DMC's frustration with the club.

With a possible move to the Cavaliers, Cousins immediately finds himself with a contender and one that can possibly help him grow as a player and as a champion.

Now, the problem here lies in the money situation, but if the Cavaliers can keep tabs with Cousins, then they may work things out for him to go to "The Land" soon enough.
