Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date rumors: Price cuts of current models signal the arrival of Galaxy Note 6?

Many people are speculating that the upcoming release of Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is getting nearer as retailers are already offering discounts and price cuts on the current Galaxy Note model. Tech freaks believe that this is just part of the South Korean tech giant's plan as they prepare for a major launch of the upcoming new line.

Not only are they giving away discounts for the Galaxy Note 5, several retailers are also giving price cuts for some of their newest lines such as Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Galaxy S7, S7 Edge.

According to a report, the discount can actually save consumers around $150 at any Walmart store. Fans are starting to line up now as the offer will only last up until June 30. Does it mean that Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 6 during the third quarter of this year? The possibility is pretty high but fans must take note that nothing has been set on stone yet. They should still wait for the official statement from the company regarding the matter.

Samsung has launched all first five of their Galaxy Note series at the yearly IFA Berlin event that happens every September; however, the fifth model in the series was announced before the event last year in August. If history repeats itself, Samsung may launch the upcoming model in August or September.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may come with the highly anticipated Android N operating system. Rumor has it that the upcoming software, which is expected to arrive in July 2016 will be on every major brand's releases once rolled out to the market – except for Apple.

Critics are also saying that Samsung may launch the device early to emulate the success of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
