The invite for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Unpacked event for August 2 | Samsung Newsroom

After many months of numerous rumors and speculations, Samsung has finally announced the latest addition to their Android smartphone family, the Galaxy Note 7. For several months, the hybrid device has become one of the most favorite subjects of many online discussions. With its confirmation, consumers are now waiting for the release date details of the device. According to reports, the South Korean tech giant is going to launch the device on its Aug. 2 event in New York.

The announcement was a bit shocking for some industry experts who predicted that Samsung was going to release multiple variants of the device. It appears that the company will only launch a single version with a 64-gigabyte storage capacity paired with 4 GB of RAM. It was previously hinted that the Galaxy Note 7 may carry a 6-GB of RAM once it hits the market. Nonetheless, tech experts are still positive that the company will soon launch another version of the handset with 128 GB storage capacity paired with 6 GB of RAM.

As of the moment, that will stay as a rumor until the company decides to confirm it.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to come with a Super AMOLED display system. The device will also have an HDR mode, which is clearly taken from the company's 4K TV set up.

Other features of the device include a 12-megapixel primary camera with dual-pixel phase detection and autofocus, a 5-MP selfie snapper and a 3500 mAh battery set up. The battery technology of the device did not match the previous rumor of 4000 mAh; nonetheless, it is better than most of the handsets in the market today.

Meanwhile, as expected, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will run on Snapdragon 820 from Qualcomm paired with 4 GB of RAM. It will also come with a pre-installed Android 6.0.1; however, it is expected to get updated once the new Google operating system hits the market.
