Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date, specs rumors: Samsung's next phablet has AI assistant
Apple has always found a worthy rival in tech giant Samsung, and after the PR nightmare that was the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, people thought that the Note line was going to be ultimately cancelled. There are reports, however, that seem to suggest otherwise, as more rumors have popped up about Samsung working on the Galaxy Note 8.
According to reports, the Note 8 is set for a release this coming 2017, and smartphone analyst Evan Blass has posted the upcoming models of Samsung's flagship phones that will be coming out in the next year.
In the tweet, Blass said, "Samsung Galaxy S8 models are indeed skipping SM-G94* model numbers, will ship as SM-G950 & SM-G955. Know what else is in the works? SM-N950."
The SM-N950 is said to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, as the Note 7 was numbered SM-N930. The other devices listed in the line are said to be the product numbers of the 5.7 Galaxy S8 as well as the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+.
As for the rumored specs of the device, it's said that the Note 8 will have some similarities with the S8 and S8+. The Note 8 is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, as well as a 4K screen and 6 GB of RAM.
It also looks like Samsung is jumping in on the digital assistant trend as rumors are saying that the device will come with Bixby, an A.I. assistant that will be the Samsung equivalent of Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana.
Though 2016 turned out to be a disastrous year for Samsung, it looks like the company is not holding back. It is still moving forward with updates and improvements on its current tech lineups.
No official release date has been announced for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but fans expect that Samsung's next flagship smartphone would finds its way to the market this coming 2017.
