Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Cases, Screen Protectors, Battery Packs Start Hitting the Market

With the launching of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, accessories for the latest Samsung flagship phones have also started to hit the market. Investing in these accessories is a good idea because the phones have back panels made from glass and the curved screen of the S6 Edge will need extra protection.

Spigen was the source of a major leak about the Galaxy S6 before the latter was released. The company has a number of cases designed for both the standard S6 and its Edge variant. These cases provide good protection for both devices in case of accidental drops. They come with polycarbonate exteriors and a raised edge to protect the screen. Cases for the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 are priced starting at $14.99 up to $34.99.

Spigen also has a screen protector made from liquid crystal for the Galaxy S6. As for screen protectors for the S6 Edge, TechFilm, Dmax Armor and SUPERSHIELDZ offer several varieties and they are priced from $2.99 to $7.95. Other cases for the device can also be purchased from Urban Armor Gear and OtterBox. Urban Armor Gear offers composite cases and they come with an armored exterior and soft core interior. As for OtterBox it also has a case comprised of a rubber cover, polycarbonate inside and a screen protector layered on top.

With Samsung S6 and S6 Edge not featuring removable batteries, there is going to be high demand for battery packs for both devices. Mophie has already announced one in the form of a Juice Pack which is designed specifically for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. This pack adds more than 100 percent battery life as it has a built-in 3,300mAh battery. At the same time, it provides impact protection for the screen which is useful in the case of accidental drops. Priced at around $99.95, these packs will also allow wireless charging when the phone is encased in it and even provide access to all buttons.

Samsung has also announced that it will be providing Clear View Covers for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. These cover both the front and back, or just the front and allow the screen to be viewed through them. The company is also offering a battery pack in gold or pearl color and a wireless charger.
