The LG G Flex 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge both have curved screens. However, in terms of stunning design and great visual appeal, the device from Samsung clearly overwhelms its competitor.

Design

The Galaxy S6 Edge has a curved screen extending over both its edges. It has a premium look due to its metal frame and glass front and back. The curved edges function as part of the main screen and display colored notifications and images of callers when calls come in and also display news alerts and a night clock. As for the G Flex 2, it has a curved plastic body and a self-healing coating on its back panel which can remove minor scratches within 10 seconds.

Display

The display on the G Flex 2 is bigger than that of the Galaxy S6 Edge, but it is not as sharp. The Galaxy S6 Edge has a super AMOLED screen measuring 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 577 pixels per inch. The G Flex 2 has a curved P-OLED screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch.

Specs

As for specs, the G Flex 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, coupled with quad-core Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5 GHz and quad-core Cortex-A57 clocked at 2 GHz along with an Adreno 430 GPU. The Galaxy S6 Edge has an Exynos 7420 chipset, quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Mali-T760 GPU.

Memory

The Galaxy S6 Edge does not have a memory slot while the version on the G Flex 2 allows for the addition of external memory of up to 128 GB. In terms of RAM, both have similar 3 GB versions.

Price

The Galaxy S6 Edge could cost between $800-850 while the LG G Flex 2 could have a retail price of $680.
