Samsung Galaxy S6 vs LG G Flex 2 Specs Review: Features and Price Comparison - Metal Goes Up Against Plastic

With the rumors around the Samsung Galaxy S6 intensifying ahead of its rumored launch on March 2, it is clear that it is being positioned to take on devices such as the LG G Flex 2 which was recently launched and is due to arrive within a few months.

Design

The G Flex 2 has a curved body and screen much like its predecessor the G Flex, but it is largely made of plastic. It also has an improved selfp-healing coating on its back panel which can remove small scratches within 10 seconds. As for the Galaxy S6, rumors indicate that it will be the first flagship smartphone from Samsung to have a full metal body, which will give it a premium look and feel.

Display

The display on the G Flex 2 is a curved P-OLED screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch. As for the Galaxy S6, it is expected to have the same display as the S5 but with a higher resolution, which points towards a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 554 pixels per inch.

Specs

The G Flex 2 has the very latest in terms of specs as it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. As for the Galaxy S6, it is rumored to have the Exynos 7420 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Mali-T760 GPU.

Memory

The 16 GB version of the G Flex 2 has 2 GB RAM, while its 32 GB variant has 3 GB. As for the Galaxy S6, it will probably have 3 GB of RAM. As for a memory card slot, the G Flex 2 has one that can be used to add external storage of up to 128 GB. The Galaxy S6 is also expected to have a similar version.

Price

The retail price of the Galaxy S6 is expected to be in the $650-680 range while the G Flex could cost around $680 without a contract.
