Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs news update: New Galaxy smartphone coming to MWC 2017?
While everyone is focusing on the current release of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, many tech fans are actually wondering what the company has in store for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. The eighth generation Samsung flagship smartphone has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations ever since the current model came out earlier this year. Now, new reports have emerged saying that the device will carry a 12 and 13 MP dual-lens primary camera technology and an iris scanner.
The rumor started when a user on a Chinese social media website, Weibo, leaked the details of the alleged smartphone. According to the report, Samsung will follow Apple's dual lens camera feature of its new iPhone 7 Plus, which is expected to be unveiled this month. The new snapper feature will certainly help Samsung improve its image quality on its new device's camera capture. The leaked information also suggests that Samsung Galaxy S8 will carry an 8 MP front-facing shooter, which is an upgrade from the current 5 MP of the Samsung Galaxy S7.
In a report by Tech Times, Samsung Galaxy S8 will also have the same improved iris scanner the company currently introduced with Galaxy Note 7. The amazing feature will allow users to simply look at the screen of their device to unlock it. This added security feature is expected to be enhanced more for the new Galaxy S8.
There are also reports suggesting that the Galaxy S8 will carry a 5.5-inch screen with a 3840 x 2160 4K display capabilities. According to Tech Radar, the device will most likely come with a Smart Glow feature, which is a circular LED on its primary camera to notify users of phone activities.
Rumor has it that the device will be unveiled at next year's MWC 2017. However, the company has yet to provide concrete details about its development and release date.
