Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs news 2016: Next gen flagship smartphone to come out in March next year?
While Samsung appears to be having another successful release with its new Galaxy Note 7 phablet, the company is said to be already planning on its next big development. According to reports, the South Korean tech company will be releasing the next generation flagship smartphone, Galaxy S8, between March and April next year. There are speculations suggesting that the device will come out with a 5.5-inch screen with 4K display support.
According to a report by Korea Herald, Samsung has recently displayed an unnamed smartphone during a tech trade show in California. Although the company did not confirm it, many tech fans assumed that the device is going to be the next Samsung Galaxy S model. The handset has a 5.5-inch display with ultra-high definition 4K technology. According to the report, the device will be perfect for virtual reality or VR with its pixel density of 806 ppi.
There are also rumors saying that the device will arrive as the most powerful smartphone in its generation. According to MobiPicker, the upcoming Galaxy S8 will run on an Exynos 8895 chipset, which has a speed of 4 GHz. The powerful processor is said to be faster than Apple's upcoming A10 chipset and the new Snapdragon 830 from Qualcomm.
Although Samsung has yet to provide the details of its development, there are already rumors circulating that the new Galaxy S8's powerful processor will be paired with 6 GB of RAM. It is also expected to arrive with a preinstalled Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Meanwhile, Fabnewz reported that the smartphone may come out in March or April. The publication apparently based their prediction on the previous release dates of its predecessors.
As of the moment, fans are still waiting for Samsung to make an official announcement. The company is expected to shift their focus on the Galaxy S8 once they are done with the global release of the current Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
