There are still a few months left for this year, but there are already speculations regarding the next lineup of device offerings by Samsung in 2017. Following the bad publicity brought upon by the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the South Korean tech giant, the upcoming gadgets from the company will be crucial as they are expected to make Samsung bounce back from the dipping sales.

One of the much-awaited Galaxy devices next year is the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones were only released a few months ago, but even so, the tech enthusiasts are now wondering how can Samsung step up further with the next S-series iteration. According to Sam Mobile, the showcasing of the new Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones will happen at the Mobile World Congress event in February 2017.

With this, it has also been rumored that the firmware development of the smartphone model's firmware was already initialized. Samsung Galaxy S8's unique read-only memory (ROM) is already rolling for use in different parts of the world like China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The tech enthusiasts should watch out for the Galaxy S8's special variants, including the first ever edge-to-edge screen display design. The screen is also expected to support full 4K resolution. According to iTech Post, the Galaxy S8 may boast an impressive 30MP camera and a built-in projector.

However, even though it appears that the development of the Galaxy S8 is coming in earlier than expected, the projected release date of the device will fall just right on schedule. For the past few years, the unveiling of the new Galaxy S-series smartphones usually falls on February or March. Along with the new Galaxy smartphone, it is possible that Samsung will unveil it alongside the Galaxy Tab S3.
