Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 release date, specs rumors: Samsung to launch upcoming tablet at MWC 2017?
After the fiasco involving exploding Note 7 smartphones, many expect Samsung to be hell-bent on making a comeback next year. While the Korean tech giant may have a hard time rebuilding its reputation and regaining the trust of its consumers, the company is slowly recovering and certainly reflecting on their missteps.
And with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Tab S3 next year, things could finally start looking up for the Asian tech company and its loyal users and supporters.
As reported by Mobi Picker, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be launched alongside the Galaxy S8 during an event in early 2017. However, the launch will most likely not be a dedicated event. Instead, the gadget's debut may take place at the 2017 CES or MWC, two huge events that Samsung wouldn't ordinarily miss. It is even more likely that Samsung will prefer to launch the Galaxy Tab S3 during the MWC 2017.
As for its specs and features, rumor has it that the Galaxy Tab S3 will have a lot to offer and will pose a serious threat to its competitors from other gadget company giants like Apple and Microsoft. The tab will reportedly come in two variants: Wi-Fi model and LTE model. It could also come in two display variants: 9.7 inches and 8 inches.
The Galaxy Tab S3 will also run on the Android Marshmallow or the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, and it will be fueled by a 4,000-mAh battery. The device will also come with an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP selfie shooter. As for its processor, the tablet is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 820. It will be equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB.
As for how much it could cost, Game N Guide reports an estimated price tag of $499 for the 9.7-inch variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.
