After already losing one of the best big men in the game after Tim Duncan retired, the San Antonio Spurs are trying to make up by searching within the league.

Their current team already contains possibly one of the better power forwards in the league, LaMarcus Aldridge, but the Spurs added more firepower by signing veteran big man Paul Gasol from the Chicago Bulls.

Despite not having the big storyline behind it like the Golden State Warriors, it is difficult to argue that the Spurs are not an elite team.

Aside from the two center-forwards, the Spurs still have elite talent all around, with Tony Parker, Patty Mills, and other guards who are more than capable. Kahwi Leonard is also another star in the team that is easily one of the top 10 players in the league today.

However, still wanting to add to their roster, reports say that the Spurs are linked with a move for the Philadelphia 76ers' Nerlens Noel.

As always, this makes sense for the Sixers as they have Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid who play the same position that Noel does, giving them some trouble in finding playing time for all.

Plus, the Spurs know that in signing Noel, they get a young talent with so much potential and one who is willing to work on both ends of the floor.

Playing two years in the league, Noel has shown promise as he averages 10.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

He is also improving in his shots as he averaged 52 percent from the field last year, compared to only 46 percent in his rookie outing.

And at 22 years old, Noel can still soak up so much knowledge from the NBA greats like Leonard and Parker.

He may not be Duncan, but he can create his own legacy with the team if he plays his cards right.
