Netflix has recently released the first trailer for their next Adam Sandler film, "Sandy Wexler."

As reported by Gamespot, the Hollywood comedy actor portrays the titular character Sandy Wexler in the film. Wexler is a talent manager who represented actors "on the fringes of show business" in Los Angeles back in the 1990s.

The official plot synopsis of the upcoming movie does not reveal much other than Wexler falling in love with a client, Courtney Clark (Jennifer Hudson) — an amazingly talented singer he discovers at an amusement park. With this newfound love, Wexler's single-minded devotion to his eccentric clients as their talent manager is put to the test.

Aside from Sandler, also appearing in the film are actors Kevin James ("King of Queens"), Terry Crews ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine"), Lamorne Morris ("New Girl"), Nick Swardson ("Grandma's Boy"), Rob Schneider ("50 First Dates"), and Carl Weathers ("Predator").

"Sandy Wexler" is directed by Steve Brill, the same filmmaker who directed other comedy films starring Sandler such as the Netflix movie "The Do-Over" as well as the mainstream movies "Mr. Deeds" and "Little Nicky."

As reported by Movie Web, the script was written by Sandler along with Paul Sado and Dan Bulla. Sandler, through Happy Madison Productions, will be serving, along with Allen Covert, as the film's producer. On the other hand, Barry Bernardi and Tim Herlihy serve as the movie's executive producers.

It can be recalled that in 2014, Sandler landed a four-movie deal with online movie and TV streaming service company, Netflix. The first two films released from this endeavor are "The Ridiculous Six" and "The Do-Over," both of which premiered in 2016. The fourth Sandler movie has not been announced yet.

"Sandy Wexler" is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 14. The online-streamed film will be going up against the highly-anticipated action sequel, "The Fate of the Furious," as well as the animated sci-fi action movie "Spark: A Space Tale," both of which are scheduled to debut in theaters in the same weekend.
