'Sims 5' release date and news: Game to come in 2019?
As of now, "Sims" developers in EA Maxis are working on upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for "Sims 4," but fans are already wondering when there will be a "Sims 5." The bad news is that reception hasn't been so stellar for "Sims 4," so it's likely that gamers will not get a sequel in a very long time.
According to reports, "Sims 5" will only be a possibility if "Sims 4" does well in the market. As of now, the developers are trying to remedy the bad reviews by releasing more DLCs for "Sims 4."
This coming November marks the release of "The Sims 4: City Living" DLC, and players get to put their Sims in the busy life of a growing metropolis.
"City Living" has a lot of different apartment options for the player as they try to get their Sims to become more successful in the city. Cheaper apartments can be a bit rundown and messy, but as the user's Sim gets more promotions, a better apartment would be at reach. Apartments can also be near schools or party places, all catering to what the user wants for their Sim.
Hopefully the upgrades can give a renewed interest in the "Sims" franchise, and developers would be satisfied enough to produce a "Sims 5." With the current game not doing so well, some predict that the sequel may arrive sometime in 2019.
Other rumors are even optimistic enough to say that maybe EA is planning to release "Sims 5" along with all the DLCs, but others tend to be more realistic.
Since the game debuted in 2000,"Sims" has steadily grown to be one of the most recognizable brands in the game industry. The open sandbox of the world brought in something new for all game enthusiasts.
