'Sister Wives' season 8 release date, news & update: Maddie Brown announces pregnancy; tension grows between Christine and Robyn

Maddie Brown is having a baby and the "Sister Wives" clan will soon be celebrating the birth of their first grandchild.

Maddie and her husband Caleb Brush confirmed the pregnancy with People earlier this week and later posted a snap of Maddie's baby bump on Instagram. The couple are reportedly expecting their first child together sometime in May.

"We are both really excited and anxious," Maddie told People. "I think every soon-to-be parent is anxious, but we have so much support from both sides of our family," she added.

"So happy to announce our little addition!!," the "Sister Wives" cast member captioned an Instagram photo of Caleb kissing her belly.

Maddie is the daughter of "Sister Wives" star and Brown clan patriarch Kody with Janelle, his second wife. Kody has five other children with Janelle, one with first wife Mariah, six with third wife Christine, and two with fourth wife Robyn. He has also adopted Robyn's three children from a previous marriage. In all, the Browns have 17 kids, with Maddie the first to get married. Her sister Mykelti, Christine's daughter, was recently engaged.

Maddie and Caleb wed in an intimate outdoor ceremony in Bozeman, Montana, in June. The family's preparations for the wedding will be featured in the upcoming "Sister Wives" season 8 premiere episode, titled "It's Worse Than We Thought."

"We think it would be super cute to have different names for all the grandmas, like Oma, Grams or Babicka," Maddie said. "'Grandma' said differently or in different languages. Ultimately they get to choose what they are called, but my dad will probably be Grandpa."

Meanwhile, spoilers for the fast-approaching "Sister Wives" season 8 indicate that there is growing tension in the family, with Kody reportedly at odds with all four of his wives and Christine threatening to leave.

Kendra Pollard, who has previously appeared on the TLC reality series, allegedly told Life & Style that Christine has had it with Kody's fourth wife. "Christine really wants to rip Robyn's eyes out," Pollard reportedly told the magazine. "She thinks Robyn is obnoxious, spoiled and a home wrecker," she added.

"Sister Wives" season 8 debuts on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
