'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 spoilers, cast news: Two series regulars quit, casting underway for new female lead and four series regulars

Following the disappointing departure of lead actress Nicole Beharie as Abbie Mills, "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will look much different because two more actors have been recently confirmed to quit the series.

According to TV Line, Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho will no longer be series regulars in Fox's supernatural drama. Gross portrays the character of FBI head Daniel Reynolds, who once became Abbie Mills' romantic interest while Camacho portrays agent Sophie Foster, whose past led her to become interested in the supernatural. There is a chance of Camacho making an appearance as a guest star in season 4 though, which will feature Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) as he continues to fight the supernatural entities following the death of his fellow Witness Abbie.

From being set in Sleepy Hollow, New York, the story heads to Washington D.C. which will see Ichabod meet his new team plus a new female lead named Anna. She is a single mother/former military officer and her character description reads: "She's got a tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor. She's a born leader, but she also has a softer, more caring side which she rarely shows." Casting is also currently underway for four other series regulars including a yet-to-be-named new male villain, Anna's 11-year-old daughter Stella, a charming and determined research analyst named Seth and a "female MacGyver" named Rosa.

Production for the 13-episode run is scheduled to begin early next month and despite the new setting in D.c., the show will continue shooting in Atlanta. Aside from Gross, Camacho and Beharie, season 3 regulars who previously left the show are Zach Appelman (Joe Corbin), Nikki Reed (Betsy Ross), and Shannyn Sossamon (Pandora).

"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will air every Friday night at 9 p.m. ET on CBS beginning early 2017. The network has yet to announce an official premiere date as of this writing.
