'Star Wars Episode 8' spoilers: Ben Solo not Han Solo and Leia's son? Rey's connection with family revealed?
There are a lot of theories about "Star Wars Episode 8" being thrown around. There is a new one that seems to debunk the relationship of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Ben Solo also known as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
A Reedit user speculates that Ben is not Han and Leia's (Carrie Fisher), but simply a nephew. He points out that "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" "never once is it specifically said that Kylo is Han and Leia's son."
The Redditor said that while the two refer to a "son," it is not actually Ben they are referring to. The real one will reportedly be revealed in "Star Wars Episode 8."
"Every single line is written in a veiled sort of way, so that later when their true son is revealed we can re-watch and see that this was never specifically said," he pointed out.
However, ComicBook points out that in the final conversation between Han and Ben that led to the former's death, Han clearly referred to him as "my son."
This is not the only mystery surrounding the Solo family. "Star Wars Episode 8" speculations also have it that Han and Leia know who Rey (Daisy Ridley) really is.
According to the reports, Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o) only knows much about Rey upon their arrival at the watering hole because Han told Maz about her.
Another is the fact that instead of sharing the grief with Chewbacca about Han's death, Leia opts to embrace Rey, which suggests that she knew the girl from Jakku as well.
There are previous reports that Rey may actually be related to Han and Leia, thanks to her piloting skills and being Force sensitive, which a child of the couple could definitely have.
"Star Wars Episode 8" will hit the cinemas Dec. 15, 2017.
