"Star Wars Episode VIII" is the most-awaited movies in the "Star Wars" franchise. True to this are the rumors that are popping all over the place as fans are speculating more and more about the upcoming sci-fi film.

The latest set of rumors suggest that the "Star Wars Episode VIII" will feature Han Solo's ultimate end and Luke Skywalker's display of immense and unbeatable powers gathered over a period of time.

The idea of Han Solo's death in the much-anticipated film comes from a lip slip by Carrie Fisher, who plays the iconic role of Princess Leia in the film during a discussion panel at the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 last July.

Panel host Warwick Davis was asking Fisher of what she knew of the time period between "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens." In reply, Fisher said, "Han's funeral..." Two words which completely caught everyone's attention. Fisher tried to save her words by saying that she had misunderstood the question but it was a little too late.

The Week also reported that another theory popular among the fans right now is that Snoke is, in fact, a small being who suffers from inferiority complex, which is why he uses holograms to make himself appear bigger and more menacing. The report also went to speculate that Snoke's actual size may be comparable to that of Yoda.

Another character with a mysterious past is Kylo Ren, who was revealed to be Ben Solo. In "The Force Awakens," it was confirmed that Kylo Ren was still having internal conflicts in choosing whether to go with the Dark Side or return to the Light with his father, Han Solo. Later on, he decided to commit himself to the Dark Side and murdered his father.

Still, speculations are running high that Kylo Ren is only working as a double agent. Maybe he only went with the Dark Side temporarily, just to know the secrets about their base and how it works.

In the film's 3D collector's edition expected to roll out on Oct. 31, director J.J. Abrams went on to explain the reason behind Kylo Ren's actions.

"People have asked me if I think that Kylo Ren was just playing with him the whole time, if he meant to kill him from the beginning. And the truth is, I think Kylo Ren, in this moment, is actually being convinced to walk away from this. Snoke is, as Han says, using him, and I think that somewhere Ben knows this. But I think that he can't accept it. Deep down, he has gone too far," Abrams said.

There will surely be more rumors to come until the "Star Wars Episode VIII" premieres on the big screen on Dec.15, 2017.
