'Steven Universe' season 4 return date: Cartoon Network to drop a Stevenbomb next year

Steven and the gang will be back next year with brand-new episodes of "Steven Universe" season 4, set to air beginning Monday, Jan. 30.

The show has been on hiatus since early this month after airing "Three Gems and A Baby." To make it up to fans for the long wait, Cartoon Network is going to do a Stevenbomb.

This means that new episodes of "Steven Universe" season 4 will air every day. It could be four or five days in a row to one week. In the case of the show's comeback next year, it will be from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

There will actually be two back-to-back new episodes on the first day. First will be titled "Steven's Dream" and will serve as episode 11 of the season.

The synopsis for the first "Steven Universe" season 4 episode for 2017 as stated by Gizmodo reads: "A strange dream prompts Steven to search for answers."

The episode that will follow is called "Adventures in Light Distortion" and will be aired right after the abovementioned episode. This installment will see Steven and company do a search and recovery mission.

It is unclear as to what exactly they will be looking for. More details about it should be revealed as the air date of this "Steven Universe" season 4 episode nears.

By Tuesday, Jan. 31, Cartoon Network will treat fans with an episode titled "Gem Heist." No details were provided except that the gang will steal something. It must be of great importance because they are risking serious consequences.

On the first day of February, "Steven Universe" season 4 will air "The Zoo," an episode that will see Steven visit what was described as a "special" zoo.

The final Stevenbomb episode will be "That Will Be All." Here, Steven and his friends will "make a daring escape." It will be interesting to see how they get themselves in such situation.

It is unclear if this will be the final episode for "Steven Universe" season 4 although the title suggests that it could be.
