The sci-fiction crime series "Stitchers" is coming back for more episodes as its network Freeform has officially announced that it is going to air season 3 soon.

According to reports, Freeform (formerly ABC Family) renewed its first police procedural series "Stitchers" for a third season. There is no exact date yet regarding when fans can watch it but if the show's premiere date pattern is to be followed, it can start airing sometime in March 2017. This is the same month that the second season premiered.

There have been mixed reactions to the renewal of the show but considering its top-notch ratings and the positive response from its solid fan base, it's no surprise that the show is the network's top newcomer. Fans who are excited for the third installment can expect a lot to happen especially after the events in last season's finale.

As fans may recall, lead character Kirsten Clark (Emma Ishta) stitched herself into Liam Granger's (Jack Turner) consciousness to find out the real scoop between him and Daniel Stinger (C. Thomas Howell).

She found out that Liam has kept very important secrets from her. She also discovered from Ivy Brown (Sarah Davenport) that her mother is still alive. The season ended with a cliffhanger with Kirsten still caught up in the stitch.

As of now, there is still no word yet regarding the plot for season 3. Spoilers are also scarce but reports said that Kirsten will be facing new challenges ahead.

She may also be caught in a dilemma with her mind-reading power because it seems to be unreliable. Working in a secret government agency, she cannot afford to bring wrong information to the table or else she could potentially endanger someone's life.

But until official details are released, all information must be taken with a pinch of salt. Fans will have to stay tuned and watched out for updates on "Stitchers" season 3.
