'Stranger Things' season 2 news: Duffer Brothers say some fan theories come 'very close' to truth
Netflix's "Stranger Things" has steadily grown to be one of the most relevant pop-culture additions to come out in 2016, and fans are excited for the release of the second season next year. Creators of the series, Matt and Ross Duffer (aka The Duffer Brothers), took the time to address some fan theories.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the brothers talked about how they revealed the title for all the episodes of the second season and how some fans were able to guess what was in store for the show.
When it came to the teasers, Matt Duffer said, "Netflix had another teaser, but it was about going back to stuff that had happened already. I thought it wasn't exciting enough, and we wanted to provide some hint of where we were going in season two without giving anything away. I do think some of the titles will change. There were titles we didn't want to put on there because we felt like it would give too much away. The whole season was already broken when we did this."
The leaked episode titles are as follows, "MadMax," "The Boy Who Came Back to Life," "The Pumpkin Patch," "The Palace," "The Storm," "The Pollywog," "The Secret Cabin," "The Brain," and the "The Lost Brother."
Some fans on Reddit guessed that the second episode may already have something to do with Will (Noah Schnapp). The first season had everyone looking for him while he was stuck in the Upside Down.
It ended with him being saved but it also hinted that his prolonged exposure in the other dimension may have messed up his system. He was also momentarily transported back to the Upside Down.
Is Will going to be alright? What truly happened to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown)? Will Barb (Shannon Purser) ever come back?
Fans can find out when "Stranger Things" season 2 premieres next year.
