Capcom intends to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the "Street Fighter" fighter franchise this year the only way it knows how – some major announcements.

Series producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed to IGN that "around the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) timing, maybe even San Diego Comic-Con, we have one or two surprises we hope our fans will look forward to."

While he did not elaborate on this, he did emphasize that the announcement will not have something to do with Rival Schools as easter eggs of it are all over "Dead 4 Rising," leading fans to believe Capcom is hinting at something.

However, Ono found it best to shut the hopes down. "I'll let you know that the surprises this year are not going to be Rival Schools," he emphasized.

Ono, on the other hand, did tease that "Street Fighter 5" Season 2 content is coming this year although he did not go into detail about that either.

Many fans felt like "Street Fighter 5" could be much better. There is hope that a full-on Arcade mode will eventually find its way to the fighting game.

While there is not one at the moment, a YouTube user by the name Resvrgam created a mod that adds a makeshift Arcade mode to the game. On his channel, he explained what made him created an Arcade mode from scratch.

"The game sold for $60 USD at launch without it and, as of this video, there is still no officially supported Arcade Mode for Street Fighter V (that awful Story Mode doesn't count)," he wrote.

"With that said, I started this project because I had some free time on my holiday break and thought I'd have a go at a game that's been collecting dust on my hard drive," he went on to say.

Apart from an official Arcade mode, "Street Fight 5" fans would also like to see a batch of new characters to bulk up the current roster of the game.
