Fans of "Street Fighter 5" will now have something to get excited about following a recent report saying that the iconic character Balrog will make a return to the game's roster. Game developer Capcom announced the return of Balrog in a new DLC, which is scheduled to be launched on July 1.

"Balrog is one of the most iconic characters in Street Fighter history, first appearing as one of the Four Kings of Shadaloo in Street Fighter II as a boss character," Capcom wrote on Capcom-Unity blog. "He's always been one of the most vicious characters to ever appear in the series, using his devastating boxing style to knock out his opponents."

The upcoming DLC will also feature new arenas and the introduction of two new characters in the fifth installment, Juri and Urien, of the highly acclaimed fighting video game series.

According to Capcom, Balrog will still be portrayed as a boxing champion and Shadaloo henchmen. However, the intimidating character will be sporting a new look, which is expected to surprise many players. The new trailer for "Street Fighter 5" also showcases his new look and the new fighting arena in the Sin City, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The good news is Balrog will arrive as one of the playable characters in the new cinematic story mode, along with another character called Ibuki. According to a report by VG 24/7, Balrog will join the roster on the same day as Ibuki and the cinematic story mode.

Meanwhile, Capcom revealed that Balrog will still be a part of Shadaloo working as one of most trusted lieutenants of M.Bison, along with Vega and F.A.N.G. His style of throwing many devastating punches is expected to inflict serious damage to any opponent. He is also known to use cheap tactics to make sure he wins fights.

"Street Fighter 5" is available for PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Stay tuned for more updates about the game.
