'Street Fighter V' DLC release date, news, update: New DLC characters to arrive soon; Upcoming 'Arcade Mode' update uncovered by data miners?
It has long been rumored that Capcom is cooking up another downloadable content pack (DLC) for their latest fighting video game "Street Fighter V." Several months after the last DLC update, it is getting more likely that the players will see additional playable characters in the roster. Moreover, the players will have something to look forward to towards the end of 2016 as Capcom may include the Arcade Mode in the next game update.
While Capcom has no official confirmation yet regarding the new contents coming up for "Street Fighter V," the fans have been flocking on online gaming forums to get the latest scoop about the game. A Reddit forum suggests that the next DLC pack for "Street Fighter V," which is likely to be available in the coming weeks, is going to include at least six new characters in the lineup. The names of fighters that might make it to the roster are Abel, Sagat, Q, Rose, Sodom and Oro.
To recall, the last DLC update for "Street Fighter V" also added six characters in the roster. The recently added characters include Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri and Urien.
Meanwhile, aside from the upcoming DLC characters, it was also reported that new game modes will also be included in the next patch update of "Street Fighter V." As reported by Yibada, at least two game modes will be available sometime this year, although Capcom has not yet revealed any future plans for the video game. Nevertheless, it has been rumored since February that Capcom will be including the Arcade Mode in "Street Fighter V." Many fans are also hoping that the Arcade Mode will be brought back in the current "Street Fighter" installment, as this game mode has been one of the highlights of the previous titles in the franchise.
Having the Arcade Mode in "Street Fighter V" may not be too far off from reality, if the latest reports are to be believed. According to iTech Post, the data miners have detected an upcoming patch update for "Street Fighter V" that has something to do with a new game mode. In fact, the data miners have already discovered a prototype button for the Arcade Mode.
Still, it would be best to wait for Capcom's official announcement regarding their next "Street Fighter V" update before giving too much credence to unconfirmed rumors.
