'Suits' season 6 episode 11 news, updates, spoilers: How will the firm function with Jessica gone?
Fans and viewers of "Suits" are probably still in shock about the events marking season 6's summer finale. Before episode 10 ended, which was aptly titled "PSL," Jessica Pearson told her colleagues that she wants out.
Jessica (Gina Torres) is the one who built the firm, and it was under her tutelage that Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) became the man/lawyer he is. However, episode 10 concluded with Jessica opting to resign as a name partner of Pearson Specter Litt and leaving for Chicago with Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside).
Now, many are wondering how things will progress for the firm especially since it is still rising from the events of season 5 when Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) put the integrity of the firm in peril after admitting that he is not a legitimate lawyer. There are speculations that Harvey and Louis (Rick Hoffman) will butt heads every now and then as they try to keep the firm afloat, but Donna (Sarah Rafferty) will be there to help them along the way.
Meanwhile, Torres' co-stars were saddened by her exit from the show and expressed their love for their co-star through their social media accounts. Torres, for her part, admitted that deciding to leave the show wasn't easy.
"It was teary. Gosh, we shot [the scene] with Gabriel [Macht], Sarah [Rafferty], and Rick [Hoffman] where I say, 'I gotta go,' and that was my last scene I shot with them," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I really spent that entire last week just hugging everybody a lot. I didn't want to leave any crew member behind—everyone that's been so incredible to me all these seasons."
However, there's a chance her character might come back in future episodes, albeit in guest roles.
"Suits" season 6 episode 11 is slated to air in January 2017.
