'Suits' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Rick Hoffman on potential Louis-Tara romance, pair's first date

In the latest episode of "Suits" season 6, Louis (Rick Hoffman) managed to score a date with Tara (Carly Pope), the new apple of his eye.

This was despite Tara having caught him lying about owning a house in the Hamptons. As it turned out, the house Louis had hired Tara to redesign hadn't been in his family for years, as he initially claimed. Instead, he was in the process of buying the house so he could keep spending time with her. Despite the lie, Tara thought the gesture was a sweet one and agreed to go out on a date with Louis.

Hoffman recently dished on what's ahead for Louis and Tara, telling Entertainment Weekly that the duo's first date will definitely not be a boring one and that their connection could evolve into something deeper.

According to the "Suits" vet, viewers will indeed get to see Louis and Tara go on their first date. "You definitely get to see at least the start of the journey of a potential Louis and Tara relationship," the actor shared. But it won't all be smooth sailing, he revealed, "...Let's just put it this way: In most relationships, nothing comes easy — especially for Louis."

Hoffman also told EW that the dynamic between Louis and Tara is one that will surprise viewers. It will also, he said, be very different from the one between Louis and Sheila (Rachael Harris).

"It's a much a different dynamic that I think people will be equally as entertained by," he explained.

While the actor didn't confirm whether or not the date will be a successful one, "I can say that the date won't be a boring viewing experience," he shared.

In an interview with Yahoo! TV, Hoffman said that he believes that meeting Tara was particularly serendipitous and that the relationship between the two will grow into something more.

"Ultimately, what we learn through the next bunch of episodes is, it's not that simple, and through Louis and Tara learning more and more about each other, imperfections and all, something deeper grows," he said.

"Suits" season 6 airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on USA.
