'Suits' season 6 spoilers, news & updates: Harvey and Louis merging with Robert Zane? Conflicts to arise betweent partners?

The first half of "Suits" season 6 had a shocking end that saw Jessica Pearson saying goodbye to Harvey Specter and Louis Litt as she's decided to pursue other things elsewhere. Now that she's out of the firm, many are wondering what will happen to Pearson Specter Litt (PSL) firm when the second half of the series commences this winter.

As it is, Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce), Rachel's (Meghan Markle) father and the firms toughest competition, has a standing offer to merge his own law firm with PSL. With Jessica (Gina Torres), the one who built the firm, out of the picture, will Zane's offer finally be realized?

Jessica had earlier declined Zane's offer, but with two other partners yet to accept or reject the offer, it looks like her decision is not iron-clad.

In an interview with TV Line after the season 6 summer finale, executive producer Aaron Korsh said season 6B will see whether Zane's offer stands or not.

"Robert Zane is going to have to decide, and we're going to wonder: Is he going to keep this offer on the table, or is he not? And whether he keeps it on the table or doesn't, how are Louis [Rick Hoffman] and Harvey [Gabriel Macht] going to respond to that? That is absolutely one of the focuses of [episode] 6.11," he told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Korsh tells Deadline that with Jessica's exit, the spotlight will zero in on her former partners Harvey and Louis. The two have not always seen eye-to-eye when it comes to matters concerning the law firm, and according to the showrunner, conflicts are sure to brew between the two in "Suits" season 6B.

Jessica has left PSL in the hands of her managing partners, but running the show without her will definitely result in misunderstandings between the two. It remains to be seen how they will manage sans Jessica.

In related news, Torres has explained why she had to leave the series.

"Leaving the show was indeed a difficult decision to make," the actress told Cinema Blend. "However at this time, it is necessary to get back to my life [in Los Angeles] and all the very important things that being on location in Toronto made very difficult to manage."
