'Super Mario Maker' 3DS release date news: Japan to launch game before the rest of the world
The ever-expanding "Super Mario" franchise is getting another title added to its belt. Nintendo will soon be launching "Super Mario Maker" 3DS, a game that allows players to create their own game.
As usual, Japan will have the first taste of "Super Mario Maker" before the rest of the world. The game will be launched in Japan on Dec. 1. Meanwhile, the title will be premiering in Europe and North America on Dec. 2, and in Australia on Dec. 3.
"Super Mario Maker" will reportedly feature familiar aspects of gameplay from the preceding titles launched on the Wii U. This hasn't been confirmed but gamers will know when the game launches a few days from now.
One unique gameplay experience that players can get from this game is the opportunity to skip pre-fabricated game levels. In the standard rule of video gaming, players must need to accomplish certain levels of difficulty or specific tasks to unlock further levels in the game. In "Super Mario Maker" 3DS, gamers will not be limited to playing the provided levels.
Since this "Super Mario" version is a game maker, players will be allowed to design their levels. The upcoming game will give players the opportunity to mix and match the themes, gameplay, and enemies. Gamers will be able to choose elements from other titles in the franchise. Polygon reports that players will be able to choose enemies from "Super Mario Brothers," "Super Mario Brothers 3," "New Super Mario Brothers" and "Super Mario World."
Like its preceding titles, players will be able to share their creations from "Super Mario Maker" through wireless connection. Hence, gamers will also have the chance to play the levels created by other players.
Gamers from North America can pre-load the game as early as today. But to do so, the Nintendo 3DS console must have at least 365.125 MB worth of free space.
