It is expected that "Super Mario Run" will perform well just like "Pokemon GO," if not exceed what the latter has achieved. The newly released title is the first game to be released for iOS and Android devices and here is the download guide every player may want to learn.

It was during Apple's press release event in September when Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced the coming of "Super Mario Run." A video trailer was released soon after to showcase the gameplay, demonstrating how the classic hero can run on its own, but needs the players' help to avoid enemies, jump over obstacles and perform various moves.

Miyamoto recently explained the free-to-play option of "Super Mario Run," in which iOS users can already download. The full game can be bought for $9.99. The free version includes a demo gameplay and other elements of the title's three modes. The rest will have to be paid so as to experience "unlimited access" to all of the three modes.

The game creator spoke about their partnership with Apple and how "Super Mario Run" started.

"As we were talking about what we were going to create we started asking ourselves about what a Mario game would need to be," he said. "So we were experimenting with some things and we can up with the base idea, and that's what we eventually showed to Apple."

"Super Mario Run" can be downloaded on iPad, iPhone and iPad touch, just as long as the device is running on iOS 8.0 or later. The anticipated game is set to conquer the world on December 16, starting with 151 countries and regions.

As for those Android users expecting the game, Niantic already promised that "Super Mario Run" will have an Android version in 2017, though they did not specify any date. Android users will just have to wait for further announcements.
