"Supergirl" season 2 has finally landed. Fans have been looking forward to how things will unfold for the show especially since it has moved from CBS to The CW.

As expected, there are a lot of changes and IGN noted that so far there has been no negative impact resulting from the show's transfer. It is apparent though that Kara's (Melissa Benoist) new workplace is a sleeker and more sophisticated office building in the middle of National City.

The season premiere also marked the first appearance of Clark Kent or Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin. His agenda in season 2 has yet to be discovered. Why has he come and what is his purpose? More of this will be tackled as the series goes by. Superman will not be staying too long in the series so fans shouldn't be expecting to see that much of Hoechlin.

Meanwhile, spoilers revealed that Kara and her co-worker James (Mehcad Brooks) are heading over the direction of romance. Benoist and Brooks teased E! News the scoop about their characters during the San Diego Comic-Con last July. They revealed that their relationship will get hotter in season 2.

"Like a microwave," explained Brooks. "It's hot and it goes round and round!," he added.

Although comparing their relationship to a microwave isn't really the best metaphor, Brooks said that there's really a chance that Kara and James will have a follow-up to their last kiss.

But reports said that fans shouldn't be expecting the romance to come so quickly. Supergirl still has a lot on her plate and she's trying to be independent. Moreover, fans should stay tuned for more surprises from the superhero series as new faces will be coming in.

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, Floriana Lima from "The Family" will be joining the series as Maggie Sawyer, a gay character from the DC comics. Lynda Carter will also be making an appearance as the President of the United States.

"Supergirl" season 2 airs every Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
