'Supernatural' Winter Finale Recap, Next Episode Air Date: Should Claire Stay With Cas? Show to Return Jan. 20

The "Supernatural" Season 10 winter finale, titled "The Things We Left Behind," revolved around two kids with issues with parents who abandoned them. Nope, we are not talking about Dean and Sam here.

It was a rather different kind of episode as it focused more on personal family issues rather than the previous deaths of Kevin, Jo or Ellen. It was all about parents and kids coming back together.

Castiel felt bad about abandoning Jimmy Novak's family. Jimmy had been his human vessel so he tried to track down his daughter Claire instead. Apparently, Claire's mom had also left her and she had become a juvenile delinquent.

Cas sought for help through Sam and Dean. However, Dean seemed to be more determined to have a talk with his angel. Meanwhile, Claire ran to her family—a foster brother who works for the Wiener Hut and her surrogate dad. Because the family needed cash, dad convinced Claire to rob a convenience store. Claire was stopped by Cas before she could even proceed with her plan. However, Claire ran back to her dad.

Sam, Dean and Cas talked about fatherhood in a bar over glasses of whiskey. Over at Claire's house, some people tried to get money from Claire's dad for his gambling debts. Claire's dad sold her to the thugs to clear his debts.

Just in time, Cas, Sam and Dean arrived to save Claire from being sold to the thugs. Cas, Claire and Sam were able to leave the house unharmed, but Dean got knocked out by one of the bad guys. The three ran back to the house only to find Dean on his knees, with dead people around him. Apparently, Dean killed them all.
