'Switched at Birth' season 5 news, spoilers: Toby and Lily's wedding might not happen; Bay chooses Travis

Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) are planning to get married soon, but a certain fight might prevent their wedding from happening. Meanwhile, Bay (Vanessa Marano) has chosen from her two lovers, and she chose Travis (Ryan Lane).

"Switched at Birth" has begun airing its fifth and final season on Freeform, and the show is expected to conclude all the characters' storylines by the finale episode. This includes Toby and Lily and their plans to get married.

Cartermatt reports that it is possible for the love birds to get married in episode 3 titled "Surprise," which lands on Valentine's Day. The couple will be talking about their plans for the wedding, and they will reveal that they are set on doing it in the Kennish backyard.

However, there is high chance that the wedding might not push through because of a certain fight that will bring Toby and Lily apart.

Meanwhile, the "Switched at Birth" season 5 premiere episode revealed that Bay chose Travis over Emmett (Sean Berdy), and executive producer Lizzy Weiss shared with TVLine the reason behind it.

"Bay and Emmett have been through so much and so many ups and downs, and they may end up together in the long run, but for right now... that's put to bed a little bit. And Travis is this incredible guy, [whom] she's become very close to, and they've shared a lot. She needed to give him a try ... And we were excited about a fresh relationship ... They get to have great fights, though, about everything, including Emmett," Weiss explained.

It seems that even though Bay has chosen to be with Travis, Emmett won't be out of the picture just yet. Weiss added that Emmett will become "a shadow in their relationship."
