The fifth and final season of "Switched at Birth" is right around the corner, and the cast is already saying their goodbyes through a touching video released by Freeform.

In the special video, the cast members took their time to thank their fans and share their wonderful experience while doing the show. "The last 5 years have been incredible," Katie Leclerc, the actress who portrays the role of Daphne Vasquez in the series, stated in the video. "This season is our best one yet."

Vanessa Marana, who plays the role of Bay Kennish, also expressed her gratitude to the fans and inspiring them to come up with a good show.

The special trailer also looked back into some of the most iconic scenes in the series, including the very first time that Bay and Daphne met each other. It also showed a sneak peek of what fans should look forward to in season 5, including Bay and Daphne's immediate return to the United States after spending time in China.

The Hollywood Life posted the synopsis for "Switched at Birth" season 5, which reads:

"Daphne and Bay are so enthralled with China that they stay longer than anticipated, but after 10 months, they get an emergency call and drop everything to return home. Once there, Daphne tries to integrate herself back into campus life but finds that things have changed without her. Bay is mixed up about her feelings towards Emmett (Sean Berdy) who is struggling with his own problems. Meanwhile, Kathryn (Lea Thompson) and John (D.W. Moffett) quarrel over her job and Regina (Constance Marie) feels guilty about a secret tryst."

Fans of the series are expecting to see a happy ending for the girls and their families before the series closes after season 5.

Freeform will air the premiere episode of "Switched at Birth" season 5 on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017.
