The "Teen Wolf" season 6 premiere is still months away, but the first set photo from the new season, showing Dylan O'Brien's Stiles, has already been released, increasing anticipation for another round of shenanigans with Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack.

O'Brien's involvement in the new season of "Teen Wolf" was previously put in question after he suffered serious injuries while filming the upcoming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." But as "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis told Entertainment Weekly, "Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him."

Prior to Davis' comment, fans had been speculating about how visible O'Brien will be in the new season given his commitment to and starring role in "The Death Cure." His participation in season 6 seemed even less possible when he was injured on the "Maze Runner" set. Nonetheless, as the new season 6 photo shows, it now appears that neither the accident nor the movie will get in the way of Stiles appearing in the upcoming sixth season.

However, it does appear that "Teen Wolf" had to be crafty in working around O'Brien's new schedule. According to TVGuide, the actor's scenes in "Teen wolf" season 6 were shot before "The Death Cure" began filming. The website noted that most of O'Brien's scenes were filmed in advance of the other actors' scenes and would be edited into the season at a later time. This could mean that most, if not all, of the actor's scenes in the upcoming season 6 will be of him on his own.

This ties in to theories within the "Teen Wolf" fan community that Stiles will be kidnapped or will otherwise go missing in "Teen Wolf" season 6. Scott and their other friends would then be attempting to save him.

It certainly makes sense given that the actor shot his scenes before the others. It also explains Davis' statement about Stiles being at the center of season 6's big mystery.

In addition, it looks like Stiles and Lydia (Holland Roden) will have a special moment together in the new season's debut episode.

"[There is] a very definitive scene in episode 1 on the question of Stydia, so I would suggest Stiles and Lydia fans to watch," Davis told EW's Spoiler Room.

"Teen Wolf" is expected to return this fall on MTV.
