'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' release date news 2016: Possibility of cross system play still on table
Many gamers find it exciting when game developers create cross-system play. There have been speculations that the highly anticipated "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will soon come out with cross-platform play capabilities.
As of the moment, "Street Fighter" and "Killer Instinct" are the only titles that are supporting the cross-platform play according to their console versions.
The "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will soon come out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It has been reported that game developer and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment is carefully planning to release the new game title with cross system play capability. However, the company has yet to confirm these reports.
Reports of cross-platform play for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" has garnered so much attention lately after it was revealed by game designer Michael Murray on a Twitter post that Sony is interested in the idea.
Murray explained that the decision is now in the hands of Sony after Microsoft publicly announced its interest of the cross system play plan.
In a report by PlayStation Universe, although Sony has already opened its doors for PC users when "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" and "Street Fighter V" were released, the company has yet to do that for Xbox One owners. Apparently, the Japanese electronics company is against the idea of cross-system play for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," which could be pretty disappointing to many "Tekken" fanatics.
Nonetheless, plans could still change as it is still a long way before the final release of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The title is said to come out in 201 across all platforms. Details about its release have yet to be provided by Bandai Namco.
As of the moment, fans will have to wait for the game developer to provide the official details about its release.
