'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' release date, news & updates: Wang Jinrei and Ganryu next to hit roster?
With the recent addition of Miguel to "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," fans cannot wait to find out who will be added to the roster next.
Gamers have also been sharing their input on which characters should be included. A fan tweeted game director Katsuhiro Harada hoping for Wang Jinrei and Ganryu to be added in the game.
Harada retweeted the fan's post, adding a comment saying "It's too much sexy." There is no clear indication on his plans about this character as far as "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" goes.
While taking notice of the post is not equivalent to a clue about the possible inclusion of the two, fans of the characters still cannot help but hope to see them in action in the game soon.
In choosing fighters for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," Bandai Namco Entertainment relies mostly on the level of popularity the individual characters have and usually chooses the ones at the top of the list.
Wang and Ganryu might have problems in this department, but the fact that Harada already took notice means something. However, it is important to note that there was no confirmation yet.
Both Wang and Ganryu appeared in "Tekken 6," the previous iteration of the game. They also appeared in spinoffs, the latest of which are "Tekken Tag Tournament 2" and "Tekken 3D: Prime Edition."
However, it is believed that Bandai Namco is making a huge cut from the rosters in previous installments so the best bet of Wang and Ganryu being added to "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is for Harada to take notice about the fan's request.
In other related news, it is being said that cross-platform play will not be implemented in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."
"It's not a matter of the technology for getting the PlayStation 4/Xbox One/PC players to match up against each other being the issue," Harada explained on Twitter.
"But rather first party company policies and potential security risks alongside the community perceived reputation of PC gamers being cheaters that are hindering the decision to allow cross platform play," he added.
