'Tekken 7' PS4 release date news: Latest TGS 2016 trailers reveals new characters; Claudio Serafino story arc

The recently concluded Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2016 earlier this month showcased the highly anticipated PC and console game titles in the coming months. One of these is Bandai Namco's upcoming fighting video game, "Tekken 7." The latest installment in the widely popular "Tekken" franchise features a larger and meaner roster of characters, as well as new game story arcs that the fans will find very interesting.

As it has always been in the previous "Tekken" game titles, the seventh installment is centered on the powerful Mishima clan and its fearsome patriarch, Heihachi. His organization, the Mishima Zaibatsu, will be facing old and new enemies in "Tekken 7." Aside from the Mishimas, the new characters in the franchise were given a closer look at the TGS 2016 trailer of the video game, Yibada reported. The new characters such as Lee Chaolan and his alter-ego, Violet, were seen in action in the teaser video. 

"Tekken 7" will also be featuring a new set of story arcs that the players can explore. One of the story arcs highlighted at the Tokyo Game Show is that of Claudio or Cloud Serafin. He is a new character in the "Tekken" series, but even as a newcomer, he and his organization, the Archers of Sirius, will leave a huge mark in the latest installment.

According to Anime News Network, Serafin's organization is a huge group filled with mysteries. However, it has been known that the Archers of Sirius are skilled exorcists who have been busy in vanquishing powerful spirits from existence since the ancient period. 

Serafin and his group will meet Heihachi's Mishima Zaibatsu in "Tekken 7," as the latter is hoping to strike an alliance with the mysterious organization. Serafin thinks that something does not seem right with Zaibatsu's proposed alliance, as his organization has been secretly working behind the public eye since the beginning. Perhaps the game itself will reveal if the Archers of Sirius and Mishima Zaibatsu can work as one, or if they will end up being the worst enemy of the other.

"Tekken 7" will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platform via Steam in the early part of 2017.
