Loss will make Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) a different person when "The 100" season 4 premieres next year.

Season 3 left off with a lot of difficulties for Octavia when Lincoln, the love of her life, was killed. Although some might believe that the fierce character's quest for vengeance was done when she killed Pike, fans are in for a huge awakening when the show returns for its fourth run in February.

Executive producer Jason Rothenberg recently caught up with TV Line, and he mentioned that fans should look forward to Octavia's story arc for season 4. She has an interesting journey ahead of her, and she must face a lot of challenges first before things begin to fall into place. While taking a "detour into assassin land," Octavia decides to do whatever she feels she must do in order to deal with the hurt of losing the most special person in her life.

Aside from hiding her suffering, Bellamy's sister will try to make a new identity for herself. "Who is she?" the EP asks. "She's not Skaikru. She's not Trikru. Who is she now that Lincoln is gone, and that her brother — in her mind — is responsible for so many difficult choices? They have some work to do on their relationship. It's too bad there aren't any family therapists in this future."

As reports point out, Octavia will also make an effort to find her way back to her previous relationship with Bellamy. The brother and sister duo are currently at odds with each other, and that won't change when season 4 picks up. The absence of communication between the two characters will greatly impact Bellamy as the story moves forward. The EP added that it is normal for Bellamy to feel protective of his sister, but he must learn to let her go her own way at some point.

The fourth season of "The 100" is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
