'The 100' season 4 spoilers: Feb.1 premiere date confirmed, plot details teased

"The 100" season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 9 p.m. EDT, The CW has announced. This is a little later than the premiere of the third season.

Filming for the highly-anticipated season is well underway, and executive producer Aaron Ginsburg has been teasing what's to come for Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the gang.

He teased on Twitter that "The 100" season 4 will feature "the most twisted, brutal episode" in the entire series, which is saying something knowing how bloody the show already is.

Ginsburg also teased that there will be warfare coming in the new season as one of the episodes will feature "a lot of extras and "some violence."

It was also recently teased that something big is coming up for Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), who is rumored to have a new love interest in "The 100" season 4.

"No photos of Marie today as it is too big a spoiler, not to mention who she is with!" Tiffany Vogt of Seat42F, who interviewed the cast and crew of the show early this month, tweeted

"For those wondering, sounds like Octavia might be getting new man in her life, but no one replaces Lincoln [Ricky Whittle]," she added.

The reason she was not allowed to be photographed was not detailed although it is rumored because the character is pregnant as executive producer Aaron Ginsburg teased before the third season of "The 100" began.

Ginsburg said that Octavia is not the one pregnant although fans are convinced that she could be the one. After all, the EP tends to misdirect fans when it comes to plot details. For now, however, it is sill unconfirmed.

"The 100" season 4 will center on the efforts of Clarke and the group to stop the nuclear apocalypse that ALIE (Erica Cerra) orchestrated just before she was taken out by Clarke last season.
