'The Affair' season 3 spoilers: Noah has trauma and new love interest
Showtime's "The Affair" is all set to return to the small screen for its season 3. Just a few more days and it will be back to tell the story of Noah (Dominic West) after the events from the previous season.
According to spoilers, "The Affair" season 3 will pick up three years after the murder of Scott (Colin Donnell). Fans may recall that Noah took responsibility for his death just to protect Helen (Maura Tierney) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) who both played roles in the demise of Scott.
And so, Noah suffered the consequence as he was sent to jail for a crime he did not even commit. His heroic act saved Helen and Alison but he wasn't able to save himself from the troubles brought by his time in jail. Spoilers reveal that he will be set free by the time the third season starts airing new episodes. But he will not be totally free because the demons he encountered in prison will follow him outside.
He will have a posttraumatic stress disorder because of a certain security guard (Brendan Fraser). It's not completely divulged yet what happened between Noah and the security guard but it's something dark and terrible for the former as he will become very agitated and troubled after prison life.
It's also said that the guard will be looking for Noah at the outside world. ABC News says that there will be a lot of flashbacks during his time behind bars. He will be seeking some comfort and reassurance and the person who will be there for him is Helen. However, Noah will reject her. He will go after Alison who has returned from Montauk.
Unfortunately for Noah, Alison will reject him and tell him that he doesn't want anything to do with him. This will set him up to meet someone new, Irene (Juliette Le Gall). Irene will be the one helping out Noah get through the trauma.
"The Affair" season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
