Sheldon (Jim Parsons) beta tests an MIT invention that could help him read people's emotions on episode 14 of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10.

In the episode titled "The Emotion Detection Automation," Sheldon learns about a high-tech MIT invention that could help read people's emotions, so he decides to give it a try. Considering how he has been struggling with it his whole life, he immediately gets hooked on the breakthrough innovation.

CBS released a new promo for the hour, and it showed Sheldon finding out that the machine is only 85 percent accurate. After hearing about the invention for the first time, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) jokes about asking the people from MIT if they could reprogram Sheldon.

The episode also sees Raj (Kunal Nayyar) reunite with his four ex-girlfriends. To know why he's still struggling with relationships and if he is the real problem, he consults Emily (Laura Spencer), Emily (Katie Leclerc), Lucy (Kate Micucci) and Claire (Alessandra Torresani).

In related news, some of the show's cast members attended the SAG Awards earlier this week, but the series didn't score any award this year. Although "The Big Bang Theory" lost to Netflix's "Orange is the New Black" for the Best Comedy Ensemble, star Kaley Cuoco said she's still enjoyed the night. "We didn't win the SAG Award, but we had an amazing night. The best part is I'm home with this squad. Nothing could be better," the actress gushed in an Instagram video.

There are speculations that the long-running CBS sitcom is already in its final season. The show is already midway through season 10, but the network still has not approved a renewal. CBS and Warner Bros. TV are reportedly in the process of negotiating a new license fee agreement, but they can't confirm the program's future yet.

The 10th season of "The Big Bang Theory" airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
